I absolutely Love planning Parties that are Colourful, Messy, and Playful. But sometimes, Celebrations can have themes that are Prettier or feel more Elegant.
Of course, these Parties are just as Enjoyable.

If you’re ready to throw a Beautiful Rustic and Floral Themed Party, I have some Great Tips and Ideas to Share with you! Most of them are from my Mum’s 60th Birthday Party, but as always I encourage you to Adapt my Ideas any way you’d like!
My Mum's Rustic Floral Themed 60th Birthday Party!
When my Mum turned 60, I organised a “Surprise” Party for her, which was Really Special. I used a “Rustic Floral” theme with Lovely Pastel Pinks and Flowers. In addition to the Beautiful Decor, I had Grazing Plattters and even a Mimosa Bar.
The Best Surprise of the whole party, though, was when my Little Brother flew over from the US to really top of the Celebrations. You can see from the collage below how much different this Party Looks and Feels from the Kids Parties I usually host. It was the Absolute Perfect Celebration for my Mum!
Rustic Floral Party Area & Setup
For my Rustic Floral Themed Party, I used the Colour Pink along with Floral Elements to create a comprehensive Look and Feel. There was a also a touch of Rustic Wood and Brick.
I draped the tables in Light Pink cloths. Then I used Fake Pink Peonies and Roses for Centrepieces on the Cake, Present, and Mimosa Bar Tables. When I placed them in Jars and Glass Milk Bottles they looked Amazing with the Simplistic Rustic theme!
I used Wood Grazing Platters as Rustic Centerpieces for the Guest Tables, and they also made Gorgeous Cake Platters!

Everything about this Theme feels Elegant and Simply Lovely. With the Tables and Grazing Platters, the Adults could Mingle and Socialize in the Beautiful Setting.
Nude Floral Birthday Cake
I think Cake Tables are Great for Displaying Delicious Food for Party Guests, all while keeping with the Party’s Theme.
For my Mum’s Rustic Floral Birthday Party, the Cake table included a Nude Birthday Cake, Iced Biscuits, Cupcakes, and Personalised Mini Chocolates.
These Treats look a little more Sophisticated than some of the Snacks I feature in my Kids Parties. But you might also recognise a few of my Favourite Hacks! I make these No Bake Easy to Make Iced Biscuits all the time.
And my Mum’s Birthday Cake was a Variation of my Easy No Bake Easy Floral Mudcake Hack. It was a Nude Cake that I made myself and it was Super Easy!
I stacked 3 plain Chocolate Sponges on top of each other, although for a true Cake Hack you can use Coles Mud Cakes. Then I Dirty Iced the Cake with Coles Vanilla Frosting. Last, I cut up some of the Fake Flowers that I had used as Centrepieces and added them to the Cake with a “60” Wooden Cake Topper. I am Pretty Happy with how it turned out!
The Personalised Chocolates are from a Discontinued Line, but you can find Chocolate Labels in any Theme in the Beautiful Rustic, Floral, and Greenery Themed Collections!
Grazing Platters
The Grazing Platters were a Huge Hit at the Party and went Incredibly Well with the Rustic Floral theme.
I used them as Table Centrepieces, accompanied by a Bottle of Red Wine and some Gorgeous Plastic Wine Glasses decorated with Pink Curling Ribbon Bow on the Stems. The Label on the Wine came from the Personalised Wine Labels Collections at Katie J Design and Events.
The Wooden Grazing Platters included Brie, a Speciality Cream Cheese and a Cheddar; Dip, Red & Green Grapes, Watermelon, Strawberries, Wafer Crackers, Flavoured Crackers, Kabana, Lolly Snakes, and Fun size Chocolates.

Mimosa Bar
A Mimosa Bar is a Delicious and Fun Feature at an Adult Celebration. It was my Favourite part of the Party and was Super Easy to setup! I got a few bottles of Sparkling Brut, fruit juices including Apple, Orange, Pineapple, Cranberry, and Grapefruit, and cocktail fruits like Kiwi, Frozen Mixed Berries, Oranges, Pineapples, and Strawberries.
I poured the Juices into Glass Jars and cut the Fruit into small pieces served in dishes with tongs. The Guests could serve themselves Mimosas with their Choice of Sparkling Brut, Juices, and Yummy Fruits! For a Thematic touch, I used Gorgeous Plastic Champagne Glasses decorated with Pink Curling Ribbon Bow on the Stems.
