No, you don’t hang it up and hit it with a stick. But it does have Tasty Treats inside!

A Pinata Cake looks just like a normal Layer Cake on the outside. Then, when you cut into it, there’s a hidden hole filled with whatever Treats you like, that spill out in a Wonderful and Delicious Surprise.

Gender Reveal Cake Hack

Our Gender Reveal Pinata Cake

The first time I made my Pinata Cake Hack was for our Gender Reveal Party when I was pregnant with our Third Child. Our Little Paige is older now, but this was the Moment we revealed to our close Family whether we were having a Boy or Girl.

It only took 10 minutes to make this Pinata Cake Hack. It was Super Easy to Make!

And it needed to be. We had just found out our Baby Girl's Gender and the family was due to arrive in about 30 minutes to Celebrate and find out the Wonderful News!

How to Make a Super Easy Pinata Cake

These ingredients are simple and easy to find at a store, and the steps are simple to follow. There isn’t even any baking involved! I promise.

Ingredients and Supplies

For this Pinata Cake Hack, you’ll need:

  • Four Plain Round Sponges from Woolworths
  • Frosting (your choice of Colour and Flavour)
  • Candy for Filling the “Pinata” (we used Choc Rocks, but you can use Sprinkles, M&Ms, or any Candies of your choice)
  • Decorations for the top of the Cake (optional)
  • Serving Plate
  • Frosting Spreader
  • Egg Ring

Pinata Cake Hack Steps

  • First, stack three of the Plain Sponges on a Cake Plate by spreading Frosting between each layer.
  • Next, use an Egg Ring to cut a circle out of the centre of the three layers. Discard the removed pieces of cake.
  • Fill the Centre of the Cake with Sprinkles, M&M's or Candy.
  • Next, add some Frosting to the top layer and stick the last plain sponge on top.
  • Finally, Frost the top of your Cake and add some Sprinkles for decoration!

That’s all you have to do for a Deliclious and Fun Pinata Cake that’s Super Easy to Make!
