How to Throw an Epic Toy Blaster Party (Nerf-Style Birthday Guide)

Thinking about throwing an extra special Toy Blaster themed party for your little one? It can feel a bit overwhelming trying to get all the decorations, food, games, and activities together in time for the big day. The good news is that with the right ideas and a bit of creativity, you can plan an epic Toy Blaster or NERF style party the kids will talk about for years!

Toy Blaster Themed Party Ideas

Hosting a Toy Blaster or NERF style party is easier than it looks! All you really need is a good backyard space, some props, and a fun colour scheme to bring it all together. Kids love anything active, so giving them an area to run, hide, and battle makes the day unforgettable.

Your colour palette sets the tone. Bright blue and orange is the classic NERF combo, but you can choose any colours your child loves. Add some supervising adults, create a safe battleground, and you’re already halfway there.

Donte’s Toy Blaster Themed 11th Birthday Party

For Donte’s 11th birthday party, we went all out with a full Toy Blaster theme. From the decorations to the party games to the party food, everything matched his favourite colours and made the day feel so special. The boys had a blast running around, hiding, and getting muddy!

Toy Blaster Party Decorations & Setup

Donte chose blue and orange for his party, inspired by his favourite NERF blasters. We coordinated everything to match. Tablecloths, skirting, plates, napkins, and all of the decorations came from Katie J Design and Events.

Our personalised banners, bunting, posters, and matching labels made it feel professional and totally customised. For the centrepieces, I wrapped coffee jars in blue paper, added toy blaster cutouts, filled them with shredded cellophane, and added personalised toppers. They came out so cute!

DIY Toy Blaster Birthday Cake

This cake was simple and looked incredible. I iced a chocolate sponge, lined the sides with Kit Kats, tied a ribbon around it, and decorated the top with blue, orange, and yellow M&M’s in a target pattern. A toy bullet on a skewer finished it perfectly.

Toy Blaster Party Bags & Favours

Each child went home with a mini blaster, bullets, safety glasses, camo hat, personalised chocolates, and a loot bag filled with treats and themed goodies. The personalised items were a huge hit.
