It’s time for another Fabulous Time-Conscience Mud Cake Hack!
I absolutely Love Easy, Quick Cake Hacks and have used them quite a few times throughout the years for Parties and Celebrations. I’ve also already Shared a few, like my Mud Cake Hack with Nutella Drip Icing and my No Bake Number Birthday Cake Hack.
I’m a Mum to Three Amazing Kids. And oh my, are they getting older! But with how busy our Household can be, it’s always nice to have a Fast and Simple Hack for a Party Cake. And today I’m going to share a Kit Kat Lolly Cake Hack!
It’s Delicious. It’s Fun. And it’s so incredibly easy!
How to Make a Kit Kat Lolly Cake
The first time I made this Kit Kat Lolly Cake Hack was for my Partner Beau’s Birthday. My Kids even helped, and it only took about 10 minutes! It’s the Perfect Cake for Little Kids to Help with, which makes Celebrations even more fun.
When we dug in, everyone agreed that it tasted Amazing.
You only need a few inexpensive ingredients that are easy to find:
- Mud Cake
- Nutella
- Fun-Size Kit Kats
- Ribbon (your choice of Colour!)
- Lollies (also your choice!)
You also only need to gather a few normal Kitchen Supplies:
- A large plate or platter
- Icing spreader, spatula, or knife
Now, here are the easy, step-by-step directions for Creating your own Kit Kat Lolly Cake:
- Remove the grease-proof layer from the Cake and move it to a large cake plate or serving platter
- Using a spatula, Ice all around the Cake with Nutella
- Position the Fun-Size Kit Kats around the perimeter of the Cake. Press them into the Nutella a little and Secure them with a Ribbon.
- The Kit Kats will extend above the top of the Cake. Fill the top with Lollies of your Choice!
Variations
When My Kids and I made this Cake for Beau, we used a blue ribbon to tie around the Kit Kats. We also filled the top of the Cake with Maltesers, Freckles, and Mini M&Ms.
But with a Little Creativity, you can Adapt this Cake for any Occasion or Party Theme!
Instead of Nutella, you could use a Coloured Frosting of your Choice, but for this Cake Hack I usually pick a Frosting based on Flavour, since you see most of it after it’s all Decorated.
Even though I always use a Premade Mud Cake for the Perfect Cake Hack, you could always make your own from a mix or scratch and use my tips for decorating.
Change up the Colour of the Ribbon to match Party Decorations, or choose a Colour the Party Guy or Gal loves best. You can also pick any Lollies, by Colour, Flavour, or even Size, to make a Cake you Know your Guests will Love.
You could even Stick Lollipops or a Cake Topper right in the Middle!
Voila! This Kit Kat Lolly Cake Hack makes a Super Easy but Delicious Birthday Cake in 10 minutes! It’s definitely one of the Kids Favourites so far!
