Let the Little Artist Join In
One of my favourite parts of party prep is letting my kids get hands-on. Paige loved helping decorate her own cake. She pressed colourful crayons around the outside of the cake, making her own little masterpiece. We tied a matching ribbon around the cake to keep everything in place and add a decorative finish.
Decorating Extravaganza
Next, we added the fun details. A small easel held a sign announcing “Paige’s 7th Birthday!”. Paintbrushes were tucked playfully into the top of the cake for an artistic touch. Pink candles finished it off beautifully.
Elevating the Presentation
To complete the look, I placed the cake on a glass cake stand and scattered crayons around the base. A few dots of blu-tak kept them perfectly positioned. It created a bright, colourful display that guests absolutely adored.
