Roaring Fun Ahead: Plan the Perfect 'Wild One' Birthday Party with These Tips!

When your Baby turns One is a Super Fun Milestone to Celebrate!

They’ve lasted one full year around the sun, and transformed from a really small Infant to a Baby that Giggles, Smiles, and maybe even Walks. Now they Play and Interact and deserve a Party where they’re the Centre of Attention.

Since a Baby’s First Year is a Crazy Experience, I think a Perfect Birthday Party Theme is “Wild One.” This Theme is all about Adorable Animals and Honouring your Child’s Inner Sense of Adventure.

Here are some ideas for Throwing a Fun Wild One Party!

Wild One Decorations

There are a few different ways you can Interpret “Wild One” for a first birthday theme. Here’s a quick overview of a few Ideas for ways you can Decorate!

Tribal Wild One

If you want to Celebrate a “Wild One” First Birthday Party that Embraces your Baby’s Little Adventurer, you might want to consider a Tribal Theme.

Here’s an Example from Nadine, who threw her Son a Fantastic Wild One Birthday. I think these Decorations are Gorgeous!

I Love how much these Tribal Themed Wild One Decorations inspire a Sense of Adventure and Exploration. The Key parts of this Theme are the Arrows and Teepee.

If you want to Imitate it Exactly, you can use her same Colour Scheme of Light Blue and Gold. I am so in love with the Teepee Cake created by 'Caking It Up'. The Detail is Amazing. The Milestone Print was made by Fourteen 92 Productions and is a Wonderful Personalised Keepsake.

Jungle or Safari Animals Wild One

A theme with Animals really conveys the idea of your Little One’s Wild Side. Jungle and Safari Themes are Adorable and the Little Kids Love Animals!

Plus, Animals are so Colourful you can choose almost any Colour Scheme you like to go along with the Theme. Of course, Pastels always look nice for little kids, but feel free to get Creative!

At Katie J Design and Events, we have a new Range of Wild One Party Themes. You can Personalise these with the Name of your Little Boy or Girl, and there are over a Dozen Designs you can choose from.

Here is our Personalised Rainbow & Silver Wild One Theme as an example.

If your Toddler’s First Birthday has already passed, but you can’t get enough of these Amazing Wild One Designs, don’t worry! We also have a variety of “Two Wild” Designs you can choose from, like this Personalised Girls Boho Jungle Animal Collection.

These Wild One Themes all come with complete Party Packs with everything you need in High Quality, Durable Prints. Or, you can order items individually.

Just remember to follow my usual Party Planning Advice, and Use your Theme Colour for Balloons, Tablecloths, and other Party Essentials to really tie everything together!

Wild One Treats

Don’t forget to have a few Snacks for the Little Guests to Enjoy at your Wild One First Birthday Party. Our Personalised Mini Chocolate Labels not only create Fantastic Party Favours, but they also look Wonderful displayed on your Party Table for Guests to Enjoy on the Day!

For Little Hands, I highly Recommend my Delicious and Easy Chocolate Spoon Party Treat. It’s Chocolate without the mess, and you can use any Colour Sprinkles so they will match the rest of your Party. You can also Make some No Bake Iced Biscuits, Decorated in your Party Colours.

Our Wild One Party Themes have Stickers and Labels you can use for Drinks and Favours the Little Guests will Love. For example, our Rectangle Stickers (shown below in the Gold Safari Jungle Animals Theme) are Perfect for Pop Top Juice Bottles and Bubble Wands!

Wild One Games

There are also Fun Games you can Play with your One Year Old and his or her Little Guests. A few of these need Adult Help, but the Kids will have a Blast!

One year, I threw my Son Donte a Camping Themed Birthday. The Pinata we made would be Perfect for a Wild One Themed First Birthday Party. I made this Teepee Pinata myself using my DIY Cardboard Pinata hack. For Instructions, Click Here.

You can also Create your Own Cardboard Cutout for Adorable Photos! I made a Minions DIY Cardboard Cutout for a Birthday Party, but for a Wild One Party I think any Animal would be Perfect! Just Follow my Instructions for using a Cardboard Box and Paint to Create an Amazing Party Feature.

Finally, I think a Fun Game for Little Kids would be an Animal Hunt. You can buy Animal Figurines or Toys to Hide around the Party Area. The Kids can all have a Bucket or Basket to Find and Collect the Animals. How Fun and Cute!

I hope I’ve inspired you to throw a Wild One Party for your Little One!
