Girls Trolls Birthday Party Ideas & Photos

Like most Kids her age, my daughter Isla was obsessed with Adventurous Character Poppy and the Deamworks Trolls Movie when it first came out. It was fitting that she chose this as her Party theme a couple of months later.

I didn’t develop a lot of new ideas for Isla’s Trolls Birthday Party, but I did use a lot of the favourite treats and games I’ve developed over the years. Though it may not have been my most creative party, it was definitely colourful and lots of fun!

Trolls Party Area & Setup

The Trolls movie is just full of bright colours, but as Poppy was Isla's idol, we chose Pink & Blue as her party’s theme colours. They are really cheerful and gorgeous complimentary shades! We also used lots of Flowers in the Decorations and Treats as another unifying element of the Trolls Birthday Party Theme.

For seating, the Treat Table, and the Central Party Table, we used pink and blue tablecloths from the Dollar Store, so the Party Space would be bright and tie to the theme. And all of the Personalised Party Decorations and Supplies were from Katie J Design and Events!

On the Lattice of our Porch, we hung Tissue Paper Fans in matching Pink & Blue. I also glued small Flowers onto them. They looked great on the day, and as a bonus they were so easy and cheap to make.

Trolls Party Food

For Trolls Party Food I stuck to a Bright & Colourful theme, mostly in Pink and Blue with Flowers to go along with the decorations.

I prepared Chocolate Spoons decorated with Sugar Flowers, Popcorn Cups, Trolls Cupcakes, Iced Biscuits with M & Ms Flowers, Vanilla Wafers dipped in Frosting and 100s & 1000s, and Water with Personalised Trolls labels.

Any of these Tasty Treats are easy to make, and you could create your own Delicious Food by adding Pink, Blue, and Edible Flowers to common treats. Some of my other ideas are Pink and Blue Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Sticks, Blue Jello cups, Pink and Blue Candies, and Fruit Cups with Watermelon and Blueberries. Yum!

For Isla’s Cake, we had a Beautiful Poppy Cake made by Meshelle's Specialty Cakes. It was Beautiful and tasted Delicious. It was probably the only Cake that my Kids have had that I haven't made myself.

You can see all the Yummy, Colourful treats below:

Trolls Party Hats

I know I said this wasn’t my most Creative Party, but I did make DIY Party Hats for the guests at Isla’s Trolls Birthday Party.

They were pretty easy to put together by upcycling some Traditional Cardboard Party Hats with some Crepe paper. I used hot glue to attach pieces of Crepe to the hat, starting at the bottom so there was some left at the top to tie together with coloured ribbon.

I combined pink and purple crepe on some hats, and blue and green on others.

Glue, tie together, and voila! They were a Hit with the Kids!

Trolls Party Games

At Isla's Party we played a couple of Trolls themed Party Games. First there was Pin the Nose on Poppy. I found this on Etsy, and even though it isn’t available anymore, it would be easy to DIY with a large Poppy Poster and some laminated noses!

We also played Freeze, Pass the Parcel, and a Pinata. The Pinata is always one of the Kids’ Favourites and I've perfected a Super Easy DIY Pinata over the years, made using a Cardboard Box and Wrapping Paper. Click Here for Instructions.

Here’s a great photo of Isla taking a swing at her Poppy Pinata! It was such a fun game for her Trolls Birthday Party.

Trolls Party Prizes

Even though Games are Fun without being Competitive, it was nice to make Trolls Birthday Party Themed prizes for the winners at Isla’s party.

So for the Winner of Pin the Nose on Poppy, Freeze, and in the Centre of Pass the Parcel, I made some Pretty Cool Trolls Lolly cups as Prizes. I simply filled a Trolls Plastic Cup with Colourful Gummy Candy.

They were cheap and easy to make and the Plastic Cups were re-usable. This idea could also work as Party Favours instead of Loot bags.

Lastly, I just have to share some Photos of the Birthday Girl on her Special Day all dressed up as Poppy from Trolls!
