Step 1: Setting Up Your Banner in Canva
Start by opening Canva and creating a new custom design. Switch the units to millimetres and enter the size for our extra-large banner: 1500 x 750 mm. You can always find the correct product sizes in the descriptions on our website.
Step 2: Creating Your Background
Canva offers so many options for backgrounds. You can use their Magic Media AI tool to generate unique images, or browse the Elements tab for graphics that match your theme. In my tutorial, I show you how to create a colourful rainbow background, a pretty butterfly design, and a whimsical fairy banner.
Step 3: Adding Your Text
Add your message using Canva’s text tools. Choose a font that stands out, and use the colour picker to match your text with your design so everything ties together beautifully.
Step 4: Exporting Your Design
When you’re happy with your banner, click Share in Canva and download your file as a PNG. This format prints beautifully and keeps your design crisp.
