Our directory helps people plan birthdays, weddings, baby showers, community celebrations and other parties. Listings and advertising must support that purpose. These requirements apply to free and paid submissions.
Who can be listed?
Businesses must offer a genuine party, celebration or event service or product in Australia. Suitable categories include Food & Catering, Cakes & Desserts, Entertainment, DJs & Music, Styling & Balloons, Party Hire, Venues, Party Favours & Gifts, Wedding & Celebration Supplies, Photography and Event Planning. We may decline businesses or content that do not suit our audience.
Business information
- Supply your trading name, authorised contact, website or business social profile, public contact details and a clear description of your party offering.
- List your base suburb separately from the places you actually service. State travel limits, travel fees or delivery exclusions where relevant.
- National delivery means products can be shipped nationally, subject to disclosed exclusions. National in-person service means your team can genuinely deliver the service across Australia. Do not select either simply because your website is accessible nationally.
- Keep prices, availability, service areas and links accurate. Tell us promptly about changes.
- Hold any licences, insurance and checks required for your activities. A directory listing is not a certification or a personal endorsement by KJDE.
Media supplied by your business
- You supply finished photos or videos. Filming, bespoke design and video production are not included.
- Recommended social video: vertical 9:16, 1080 × 1920, MP4, approximately 15–45 seconds, clear and without third-party platform watermarks. Keep essential text clear of interface overlays.
- Supply clean, high-resolution photos, an approved logo and the correct social handles. Gallery allowance: Business Profile up to 3 photos, Spotlight up to 6, Featured Partner up to 10. One square listing photo or approved logo is additional. Recommended square image: 1000 × 1000 pixels or larger; logos should have clear space around them.
- Provide a shareable download link to original files. Links must work without requesting access and should remain available until publication.
- Confirm that you can license all supplied photos, video, logos, wording and music to us for the agreed website and social placements. Obtain any necessary photographer and participant permissions, including parent/guardian consent for identifiable children.
- Use original audio or music licensed for commercial publication on each destination platform. A trending track available on one platform may not be cleared for reuse elsewhere.
- No misleading claims, unauthorised copyrighted material, offensive content, unsafe behaviour or unrelated advertising. We may ask for replacement assets.
Social feature inclusions
One promotional feature means one supplied creative shared across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok with captions adapted as needed. It does not mean three different productions. Suitable supplied video is required for TikTok; a photo-only submission does not include video creation. We write the caption, tag the correct business accounts where supported and schedule the feature. Organic posting is included; paid advertising spend is not. Scheduling depends on complete approved assets and our content calendar. Reach, clicks, leads and bookings are not guaranteed.
Newsletter feature
Featured Partner includes one placement in a shared KJDE email newsletter during the paid listing term. The placement includes one approved supplied image, approximately 80–120 words and one link to your profile or party-focused blog feature. KJDE selects the send date and surrounding content in line with our content calendar, after suitable content is supplied. It is not a dedicated email, and does not provide access to subscriber details. Extra placements may be offered separately, subject to availability and an agreed quote. Opens, clicks, enquiries and bookings are not guaranteed.
Directory placement and profiles
All paid packages receive a square business image or logo and their own detailed profile page, separate from a blog article. Spotlight receives priority placement within relevant default results. Featured Partner receives rotating placement in the Featured Partners area for matching categories and locations. Explicit alphabetical sorting is respected. No position or category exclusivity is included. Paid badges identify advertising and do not imply independent certification. At expiry, the entry may revert to Basic, using a category illustration, short description and direct website link.
Blog editorial requirements
A Featured Partner article is approximately 400–600 words and combines useful party-planning information with an introduction to your relevant services. We write it from your completed questionnaire and approved assets. One factual correction round is included. KJDE retains editorial control over the title, structure and final wording.
- Choose a clear celebration topic: how to plan a disco party, choose an age-appropriate entertainer, arrange a grazing table, style a baby shower or select a birthday cake.
- Include practical advice, booking considerations, suitability, service areas and a relevant enquiry link.
- General company announcements, recruitment, unrelated services and keyword-stuffed promotional copy are unsuitable.
- Claims about awards, credentials, inclusivity, dietary suitability and safety must be accurate and supportable. We do not publish fabricated reviews or claim to have used a service we have not used.
- Sponsored articles and paid placements are identified clearly. Paid website links are appropriately tagged.

Term, renewal and publication
Introductory rates cover your first paid 12-month listing term, starting when your profile is published. Renewal is optional at the rate offered before expiry. There is no automatic renewal. Social features must be scheduled within the paid term after complete approved media is supplied. The included blog article is guaranteed online for 12 months from its own publication date; it may be unpublished after that unless renewed. We may retain useful articles at our discretion. Existing social posts ordinarily remain but permanent availability is not guaranteed.
At expiry, paid benefits end and the profile may revert to a free basic listing. Free listings carry no payment obligation. Content can be suspended or removed where inaccurate, unlawful, no longer relevant or inconsistent with these guidelines. We will discuss a suitable remedy if we cannot provide an agreed paid placement. Nothing limits rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Privacy and permission
Only approved public business information appears in listings. Application contact information is used to assess and manage your listing. Receiving promotional emails is a separate optional choice, not a condition of applying.
Paid signup, review and refunds
Paid applicants choose a package, submit business details, a cover photo or logo, gallery/media-folder links and content permissions on the package product page, then pay through Shopify checkout. Payment does not automatically publish a listing. We review eligibility and content before publication and refund the package payment if we cannot accept the application. The 12-month listing term begins on profile publication, with optional renewal and no automatic billing. Free Basic applications use the free application form.
