How to Hang Your Party Banners Like a Pro
Hanging our personalised banners is a breeze, but there are a few tricks to ensure they really stand out. Whether you are using them for a birthday, graduation or baby shower, these banners are versatile and can be easily displayed using fishing line, adhesive strips, or attached to balloon stands for a floating effect.
It is helpful to know how to hang them so they are most visible and contribute to your party theme. They are also great for photo opportunities with the person you are celebrating and their guests.
Our party banners and backdrops pull everything together and create great memories of the special day. One of the best features of our canvas banners are the eyelets in each corner for easy hanging. Reinforced eyelets add to the durability and make hanging a breeze.

We recommend hanging custom banners with fishing line, due to its strength and invisibility, and using existing structures like poles, fencing, gazebos, rafters or beams for tying them on to. Installing hooks where necessary for attachment can also be helpful in hanging your party backdrops.

Party Banner and Balloon Stand
At our parties, we often use a photography stand or frame. These are available on eBay and Amazon and can be reused for future parties for different themes and colour schemes.
To recreate this look, assemble the photography stand and attach some crepe or metallic streamer curtains. They come in sheets and I usually use a couple to create a layered effect.
Next, hang the banner to the stand using fishing line. While it can be a little fiddly to use, fishing line is great for hanging banners as it is strong and invisible, which makes it look like the banner is just floating in place above the table. I have added a collage below so that you can see the visual process involved in hanging a party banner.
The following step is to inflate the balloons to accompany your party banner. To make this faster, we use an air compressor to inflate them and attach the balloons using balloon tape to create a garland. I use about 60 small and 60 large balloons to fill a balloon stand. If you fill the balloons with different amounts of air, you can create a varied range of balloon sizes for your balloon backdrop.
Once your balloon garland is assembled you will need to attach it to the photography stand. We find using zip ties works great and is easy for getting in between all of those party balloons.
To complete your balloon garland, fill any gaps in the display with the spare balloons using balloon tape. Look how amazing the completed party display was at Paige's fairy themed 5th birthday party. An easy and effective way to style your party using our fairy party banner.
