Mum's Rustic Floral Themed 60th Birthday Party!

For my Mum's 60th Birthday I organised a 'Surprise' Party for her which was really special. It was a 'Rustic Floral' theme and a Lovely change from the Kids Parties that I usually host. There was Pink Floral Decor, Grazing Platters and even a Mimosa Bar. To top off the Celebrations my little Brother flew over from the US as another Surprise for Mum.

Rustic Floral Party Area & Setup

Pink & Floral were the main elements of the theme with a touch of Rustic Wood and Brick. The tables were draped with Light Pink cloths. Fake Pink Peonies and Roses made for Great centrepieces on the Cake, Present and Mimosa Bar tables. They were placed in Jars and Glass Milk Bottles to add to the Simplistic Rustic theme.

Wooden Grazing Platters doubled as Centre pieces for the Guest tables and also made Gorgeous Cake platters.

All of the Party Decorations and Supplies were from Katie J Design and Events; the Bunting/Banners, Posters, Wall Display, Place Cards, Chocolate, Water, Wine and Pop top labels.

Nude Floral Birthday Cake

The Cake table included a Nude Birthday Cake, Iced Biscuits, Cupcakes and Personalised Mini Chocolates.

I made the Nude Cake myself and it was Super easy! I stacked 3 x Plain Chocolate Sponges on top of each other. You could even use Coles Mud Cakes if you prefer a 'Cake Hack'. Than I Dirty iced the cake. I used Coles Vanilla Frosting too Dirty Ice the cake so that I didn't have to muck around making icing. Than I cut up some of the Fake Flowers that I used as Centrepieces and added them to the Cake with a '60' Wooden Cake topper. I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Grazing Platters

The Grazing Platters were a Huge Hit at the Party and went so well with the Rustic Floral theme. They also doubled as Table Centrepieces along with a Bottle of Red Wine Personalised with a Personalised Wine Labels from Katie J Design and Events. And some Gorgeous Plastic Wine Glasses decorated with Pink Curling Ribbon Bow on the Stems.

The Wooden Grazing Platters included Brie, a Speciality Cream Cheese and a Cheddar; Dip, Red & Green Grapes, Watermelon, Strawberries, Wafer Crackers, Flavoured Crackers, Kabana, Lolly Snakes and Fun size Chocolates.

Mimosa Bar

The Mimosa Bar was my Favourite part of the Party and was so easy to setup. We had Brut Sparkling Wine with Personalised labels from Katie J Design and Events. Lots of different Juices - Orange, Apple, Grapefruit, Pineapple and Cranberry juice. And Fruit with Mini Tongs to serve. There was Tinned Pineapples, Strawberries, Frozen berries and Oranges. And some Gorgeous Plastic Champagne Glasses decorated with Pink Curling Ribbon Bow on the Stems.

Mum had a Lovely Surprise on the day and what a Fantastic time we all had together celebrating her milestone 60th Birthday!
