Doc McStuffins Birthday Party Ideas: DIY Decorations, Games, & More
When my Daughter Isla was younger, she watched the show Doc McStuffins everyday. The details about Taking Care of Others are simply Perfect for all Littles, and Isla loved it! In fact, she’s still a fan today.
So on Isla’s 4th birthday, it was natural that she chose a Doc McStuffins Party Theme. It was a Gorgeous Party, with Adorable Doc McStuffins themed Decorations, Treats, and Games.

Doc McStuffins Party Area & Setup
If you’ve read about any of my other Parties, you know I Love a themed Celebration Space!
My Biggest Tip for tying all the details into an Amazing Party Area is Colour. So for Isla’s Doc McStuffins Party we used Pink, Purple and Bright Blue Decor that matched the Character and other animated details from the show.
The Party Decorations were mostly DIY or supplied from my Business, Katie J Design and Events. We had a purple tablecloth with blue runner and purple plates, Doc McStuffins themed Birthday Banners and Posters, and Adorable Matching Flag Bunting.

Doc McStuffins Party Games
It’s always fun for the Guests when there are a few Party Games ready to go for the Birthday Celebration. For Isla’s Doc McStuffins Themed Birthday Party, we came up with a few themed games for the Littles to Enjoy.
We played most of your common Party Games, with a Doc McStuffins Twist - Freeze, Pass the Parcel, and Pin the Bandaid on the Boo Boo.
I also made a Pinata for the Kids from a Cardboard box and Crepe Paper. I’ve adapted this basic DIY Cardboard Pinata for a lot of different themed parties. Here’s how you can, too!
Doc McStuffins Party Food
The Party Food and Treats at Isla's Party were all Doc McStuffins themed. We had a Cute “Doc's Pharmacy” area with a sign and Doc McStuffins Doctor items cutouts, like a bandaid and syringe.
The Food was set out on Platters and in Jars. This was before the Mason Jar trend, so we used empty Coffee Jars. Here’s what we included in the Jars for a fun twist on Doc McStuffins Themed Birthday Party Treats:
• "Medicine" - Clear Plastic Shot Glasses with a couple of colored Skittles in each cup
• "Band-Aids" - I cut out my own Pink Fondant Hearts to decorate premade LCM snack bars
• "Boo Boo Dressing” - Fairy Floss
• "Vitamins" - Gum Balls
• "Sweet Shots" - I filled some Syringes with Red Jelly
• "Cotton Wool Balls" - Marshmallows
• "Lozenges" - Wrapped Lollies
• "Tongue Depressors" - Vanilla Wafers
• "Cotton Tips" - I made these from Fads Fun Sticks with Mini Marshmallows on each end
We also had cupcakes with Vanilla or Chocolate Frosting and Doc McStuffins decorations stuck in the top with toothpicks.
The whole “Doc’s Pharmacy” area looked Beautiful and the Guests Loved the themed treats. A lot of them were either premade or only took a little bit of time and Creativity to make, but they were Delicous and Adorable!
Doc McStuffins Party Drinks
As a Fun Alternative to 'regular' Party Drinks we served 'Elixir' at Isla's party. We filled the Drink Dispenser with Cordial, but it could be filled with any drink of your choice.
Doc McStuffins Party Favours
At most of my Parties, I create a few Party Favours that the guests can enjoy on the day and take home.
For Isla’s Doc McStuffin’s Themed Birthday Party, I made all of the Gifts for the Guests. With the exception of the stethoscopes, they were all relatively quick and easy to make.
Doc McStuffins DIY Doctors Notebooks
I wrapped Exercise Books in Purple Wrapping Paper and Added a Doc McStuffins Sticker to the front. They were gifted with Coloured Gel Pens attached.
Doc McStuffins DIY Pill Bottles
I was lucky enough to get inexpensive Little Pill Containers from Ali Express. I added a Doc McStuffins themed label and filled them with Pink & Purple Jellybeans. I’ve added the links below for the Pill Jar Labels.
Doc McStuffins DIY Stethoscopes
These were a little more time consuming to make. I cut Round circles from Red Felt, and hot glued them together with stuffing in the middle. I printed Doc symbols on card and glued them on top. I brought Plain Black Headbands from the Dollar Store and attached them to the Stethoscope ends with Satin Ribbon & Hot Glue. The Kids loved playing dress up with them during the party!
Doc McStuffins DIY Headbands
I also made the iconic Doc McStuffins headbands for all of the Party Guests by Hot gluing Pink Flowers onto Purple Glitter Headbands, both of which I sourced from eBay.
All of these Treats were so Fun on the day, and Isla’s friends enjoyed playing with them. You can see pictures of the Treat Table and some close-ups of my DIY Party Gifts below:
